Breathwork recording for Envisioning your future selves
Breathwork recording for Envisioning your future selves
This recording is created for you to envision who you want to be 1, 3, and 7…(fill in the blank) years from now.
It consists of a first 5-Min Introduction into Breathwork and into how we can use it to envision ourselves to start creating, planning, and goalsetting our lives from a place of intuition and inner wisdom.
In the second 20-Min Breathwork recording, you will dive deep into the practice, accompanied by the live-recorded guitar by Oscar Svernlöv and space holding paired with intuitive singing by Olga. You will breathe for around 12 Minutes and guided through relaxation-meditation for the rest of the time. During the Breathwork, you are invited to release some of the stuck emotions that may still remain in your body from your day, week, or this past year.
Towards the relaxation phase of the recording, you will start envisioning who you would like to become in the next year. I would recommend for you to do this Breathwork several times, looking into different timelines of future. As you travel, use all of your senses to grasp a vision that your intuition shows you.
If you have never done this type of breathwork and like to understand its doings and workings, here is some information for you. If you want to experience it instead of understanding it, I encourage you to jump right in.
On a physiological level, you arouse your nervous system by oxygenating it more than usual. In the process, you release endorphins, which make the experience enjoyable. At no point in the session will you have to hold your breath. It is, however, quite different from what you would do in a typical yogic breathing exercise. So it might leave you more energized than you expect.
Using this breath, you access parts of your body where stuck emotion, tension or stress has been living for a while. In this activated state, you are able to move some of that stuck energy and become more aware of the physical sensations in your body and the flow of energy within it. It’s a beautiful tool if you want to get out of your head and connect with the creative wisdom and intuition that lies beneath thoughts and worries.
What are some things you may feel?
Tingles in your body, some light cramping of your hands or mouth, or other sensations are not unusual when you practice breathwork. These are all completely normal. In fact, it often means that you are starting to move some energy in parts where things have been stored before. So trust the process, trust yourself, and go as deep as you are able to go. If something feels like too much, take a break and go back to it when it feels right.
What if you have a particular medical condition and you are not sure whether this is safe for you?
If you have any concerns about whether breathwork may be harmful to your condition, describe it to your doctor as stated above and get their advice. Though I found it to be a quite safe practice, being worried about breathwork while doing breathwork might be unnecessarily stressing you out. So don’t push it and be kind to yourself and listen to your own judgment.
